Have you noticed that sometimes the muse for creativity is a fickle thing often showing up in the least expected times and other times staying frustratingly of in the distance just out of reach?

This fact make me feel a little better about what I am going to tell you.

A while ago (quite a while in fact) I set out to give my kitchen windows a little make over. The idea was sound and fairly simple. I was going to take the existing curtain rods and make them more decorative. And so I did this.

I was experimenting so I finished the ends of one curtain rods with two different ends. I had originally intended to make more ends but I never really like either of the original designs. They were both a little bit to ornate for my taste. And so there the project came to a halt for over a year!

But the muse finally returned for this project and I am happy to say that it is finished. The design is more plain but I like it much better and the process to make the ends was easier too. So best of all I now have two matching kitchen windows.  🙂
