DIY Chandelier Upcycled From Foil Food Wrappers and Recycled Glass
Today’s project is a continuation of the downstairs bathroom re-decoration which I am calling “A Silver Safari Theme.”
I admit that I am going at this project totally backwards as the bathroom needs to be painted and tiled and the shower refinished but I am in a decorating mindset so I am starting with the frivolous stuff. 🙂 So far the hubby has tolerated my silly redecorating theme.
So far I have completed three other projects in the Silver Safari series, A Food Wrapper Shower Curtain, Recycled Glass Shower Curtain Charms and Some Cheetos Bag Wall Art.
For this project I use the same foil technique as I did for the shower curtain.
To make the charms I used my fuseworks microwave kiln to recycle some bottle glass using the same techniques as I did to make my fused glass jewelry projects.
To be honest I am a little disappointed with the end result of this lamp shade / chandelier, but I hung it up any way. Because I am shameless when it comes to my crafting projects or because I am super protective of my creations or probably both. Anyway I am on to the next project without apologies.
Hopefully it will turn out better than this one. 🙂
Happy Upcycling,
