Hello and Welcome,

If you are new to this blog or have been away for a while you might not know how much I enjoy using the Fuseworks microwave kiln. If you are interested in learning how to fuse glass but don’t want to invest in a large kiln, this is a great product to introduce you to the art of glass fusing. I love it because it allows me to recycle old bottle glass into new shapes. It is the perfect size for making small jewelry projects. And it is a fun tool to add to your creative arsenal. You can find the links to all of the tools and materials that I used for this project at the bottom of this post.

Over the last couple of months, I have made several jewelry projects, but I have been wanting to make a bigger project. I finally got the inspiration to make this wind chime. It did take a little while to fuse all the pieces one by one but I really like how it turned out and now I am wondering what other projects I can dream up for my new toy.

So I hope you enjoy this project and that you will stop back by soon to see what else is brewing in the lab.

In this video you can see the finished project and how to cut and fuse the glass in your microwave.

Here is a quick look at the four step process.
