Insights From Craft Show Selling

Have you heard the phrase sometimes you win, and sometimes you learn? That is the best explanation for my most recent craft show experience. Today I am sharing insights from craft show selling at my 2nd craft show which was very different from my first craft show selling experience.

It was rough, to put it mildly. Most of the people barely glanced towards my booth and the day dragged on as I strained to keep a smile on my face and remain cheerful. Clearly, I did many things wrong, but there were plenty of lessons in the experience too. So even though it was painful I am determined to make the best of it which means I must learn some things and I am sharing my insights to hopefully help you avoid some of my mistakes.

If you are thinking of selling at craft shows, there are many things to consider. I am still a novice at this, but I hope my insights and limited experience will offer some perspective and help you with your craft selling endeavors.

You can check out the video below for some of my insights on being a craft show vendor.

Selling your handmade items can be a bit of a roller coaster ride. It is a rush when your things are moving and a struggle when they are not. Learn more about my first craft show experience, which was much more fun here.

If you are nervous about attending your first craft show, my best advice is to learn as much as you can before the show and from the show and try to be prepared for anything. And most of all, don’t let one experience derail you from doing something you love.

Stay crafty, my friend.

Happy Upcycling,

Cindy
