Introduction to Fusing Glass in a Microwave Kiln
Greetings from the Lab!
Today I am keeping this post very brief as there is a lot of information in the video, and no need to repeat it in writing. This is not a project tutorial as I usually post, but you will learn about my experiences using a microwave kiln, and I will share the little bit that I have learned through researching the subject.
If you have ever been curious about getting started with glass fusing but have been a little intimated or unsure where to begin, watch this video. I still consider myself a novice at glass fusing, but I have learned a few things and done some projects that I am proud of. I am sure that you can too.
Check out the video below, and you could be making your own fused glass jewelry in no time.
Happy Upcycling,
Cindy

I don’t know when your video was made; so you may already have learned this term. Your soft fuse is called a tack fuse. Of course there various levels of tack fuse. Some pieces have very sharp details, but edges are somewhat rounded. The longer you fuse, of course, the softer the edges and details.
Hi,
Thanks for the information. I have learned a a little bit more about fusing but I still have a lot to learn.
