My Craft Show Booth Set Up – First Time Seller Series 2021
Hi there, and Welcome to the Lab.
Today I am sharing my craft show booth set up. It was fun to put together and to finally see what all my effort looked like once I assembled all my projects in one place. Thanks to the hubby, I was able to use our dining room for the mock-up. Moving the furniture was a little unsettling for all the dogs, but the cats thought all the new “toys” were a hoot.
This is the 5th post in my first-time craft show seller series, and it may seem like I am spending too much time on pre-show topics. But there is a lot of work required to prepare for a craft show, and I found the process very intimidating when I started. So, I have been breaking down the experience into smaller, more manageable pieces for myself and others who may be thinking of attending their first craft show. And I am so close now. I leave for the Recycle Santa Fe Art Festival tomorrow, and at the moment, I feel remarkably calm. The car is packed except for a few personal items, and I feel as prepared as I can be. I hope to get a good night’s sleep to face the 6-hour drive tomorrow. Then have a quiet and relaxing evening in my hotel room to be ready for the actual set up bright and early on Friday morning.
I was expecting to feel pretty freaked out right now. Maybe that will happen later, or maybe not. There is a peacefulness in this part of the process that has come as a bit of a surprise. I have been working hard to get everything ready, but now it feels as if this is the part where I have much less control. Will the show be successful, with lots of people and lots of sales for all the vendors? I hope so, but I will have to take a step back and see how things unfold. I hope that I can maintain this peaceful state and enjoy the ride. But I will have to get back to you on that after the show. 🙂
