Simple Tea Cup Bird Feeder

Hey There,

Here is a fun and quick project that you can put together in about 20 minutes. There are only a few materials required. So gather these supplies and lets make this simple bird feeder.

  • Cordless Drill
  • 3/16″ Diamond Tipped Drill Bit
  • Thrifted Cup and Saucer
  • 20 Gage Jewelry Wire
  • Needle Nose Pliers
  • Jewelry Pliers
  • Beads (optional)
  • E6000 Glue

This was the first time I had ever drilled a hole in ceramic and I was a little nervous but it went pretty smoothly.

Once the hole is drilled it is a simple job to wire the cup to the plate with the jewelry wire. If you want to you can add some beads to the wire for decoration.

The final step is to glue the cup in place to stabilize the two pieces. The glue needs to cure for 24 hours before hanging and filling.
