Is it too soon for Christmas? I mean the jack-o-lanterns haven’t even been carved? I never know the appropriate time to start Christmas preparations. I am either too early or too late. I just have go for it when ever the mood strikes me. And so today I have a list of 7 things you can make for the plant lovers and gardeners on your Christmas gift list.

If you are game come along. If you just want to enjoy your pumpkin lattes, costume preparations and crisp fall weather. You can come back to this list when you are ready for mittens and hot chocolate.

Gift Idea Number 1 – Embossed Garden Markers

There are tons of ways to make garden markers but this version is made from beer and soda cans embossed with your gardeners favorite crops.

Gift Idea Number 2 – Insect Plant Charms

These cute little critters are also made from beer and soda cans and make a charming addition to your indoor potted plants or floral displays. There are tutorials for the Ant, the Ladybug, the Bumblebee, the Caterpillar and the Dragonfly. And I will let you in on a little secret I am planning tutorials for a Grasshopper and a Butterfly.

Gift Idea Number 3 – Planters and Terrariums

If you have some plants of your own you probably have offshoots and clippings to make new planters or terrariums so find a fun glass container (hopefully a repurposed one) and get planting.

Gift Idea Number 4 – Plant Propagation Wall Hangers

If you have some scrape wood and a few tools you can make these rustic wall hangers for next to nothing.

Gift Idea Number 5 – Plastic Bag Pots

You might not believe it but you can actually make small pots from plastic bags or larger pots using plastic bag rope and an empty container.

Gift Idea Number 6 – Metal Flowers

These flowers never wilt and you can create one bloom or an entire display from empty beer and soda cans. Choose your favorite there are Roses, Daisies and Marigolds, and even Calla Lilies.
