I’ve been on quite the crafting journey working with aluminum cans! Just when I think I am ready to move on to something else, I keep finding a whole new world of inspiration in these simple soda cans. There are many different ways to break down an aluminum can, but the techniques I’m going to show you in this video are the tried and true ones I’ve used for a ton of my own aluminum can craft projects. Once you use these techniques and see what you can create, you might be hooked on aluminum cans too!

I break my cans down into these four parts: tabs, rings, domed bottoms, and flattened metal sheets. Once the cans are broken down, they are ready for all kinds of craft projects, take up much less space, and are easy to store.
